Vifor Pharma is a fully integrated speciality pharma company of the Galenica Group. It is based on two main pillars: the business units Rx (prescription products) and Consumer Healthcare (OTC products).

_Vifor Pharma Rx focuses on research, development, production and marketing of its own pharmaceuticals and on potential in-licensed products in the three main therapeutic fields of anaemia, nephrology (kidney diseases) and autoimmune diseases.

_Vifor Pharma Consumer Healthcare concentrates on a range of self developed, acquired or in-licensed OTC products that are distributed through own marketing organisations in European key markets.

The operational basis of Vifor Pharma are lean and agile organisational structures.

Vifor Pharma enjoys an increasing global presence. While the manufacture of all products is located in Switzerland and in the UK, the commercialisation is taken over by a wide network of affiliates and distributors all over the world.

In order to achieve its goals Vifor Pharma also enters into different strategic alliances and joint ventures.
